Inspired by a unique S.Western 1870's rabbit stick in the Gary Broadbent collection which featured an interesting flat/angular airfoil. Gary generously gave me the privilege to handle, study and trace this rare and beautiful throwstick. I worked with the original design at first, but eventually decided to make a few changes including adding elements I had found in other historic American throwsticks and enlarging the stick somewhat. The final result is a beautiful chisel pointed style throwstick that has nice straight flights out to 70 yards / 65 meters and sometimes much more.
This design requires a good spin for best results, but due to it's lighter weight and good balance, this is easy to achieve. It is best for targets or hunts at 65 yards / 60 meters range or less.
Although it has a definite performance edge on the Kimberley Stinger, it should not be considered a long ranged hunting stick like some of its Australian design based cousins. Despite it's capacity for up to about 98 yards / 90 meters total distance, it doesn't retain full energy that far into the field. At short to mid ranges it is a lot of fun and performs very well.
A durable stick in rough environments and a great value for the beginning thrower, the short ranged hunter, or the budget minded survivalist.
"As a lifelong primitive technologist, I was aware of the place of the throwing stick in history. Working in Museum Anthropology for the last 25 years allowed me to see original artifacts from around the world including ethnographic throwing sticks from the American Southwest and Australia. It wasn't until I discovered the work being done by Throwsticks.com, that this technology came alive! No longer a dusty old museum artifact behind closed doors, the throwing stick is now a magical work of art and science. Finally, this technology is getting the spotlight and recognition it deserves for its important role in human history. Now all people have access to this part of our shared heritage. Thanks Throwsticks.com, for bringing this skill back into the light!" - Michael Frank, Founder @ Occoquan Paleotechnics LLC (Virginia, USA)

Amazing experience with the rabbit stick. I feel like its a genuine weapon in hand to hand scenarios and im convinced of it's lethal potential for birds. The rabbit stick has some mass at contact worthy of a hunting tool. I think it could also do big damage to any windshield in the nearby parking lot. I was hoping for something serious and the rabbit stick is very serious. Simple and serious. The Desert Hunter is pure bad idea jeans in an urban area. Given I easily threw the rabbit stick over 90 yards, the flight path requirements of the Desert Hunter make it a special occasion toy exclusively. Possibly it could be safe on a polo ground early in the morning. Great fun.- Pete P. (California)

The Rabbit Stick is amazing. It is extremely well built and looks like an expensive piece of art. However, don't put this on the wall. Just wait until you swing this well tuned Rabbit Stick across a football field and a very large smile will come across your face. This Rabbit Stick glides straight and true, what an experience!!! I also purchased the Karli and the Kimberley Stinger. I also bought the Wedge War Club ( about a month ago) and all of these items are wonderful. The skill in which these throwing sticks are tuned is simply amazing. I will be purchasing a lot more in the near future. As they say, "These are the best and then there is all the rest." Thank you Mr. Scott for an amazing hunting/sporting tool. You have made me a loyal customer.
Sincerely,
Mike S. (Virginia)

Very happy with this stick. And in learning how to use it, I hit a street curb, which only put a minor dent into the end. No cracking or other damage. I’ve seen your videos on how much damage these can take and it’s great to see it’s true. Once I get this one down, I’ll probably check out one of your other models.

The Rabbit Stick is very good. I live in high desert area, a lot of rock and wind. It takes a beating but is durable and flight remains consistent, even with a fair amount of wind. Slender handle and angular airfoil give it a real tactical feel, very fun to throw and still a serious instrument. In short this is a great boomer, lots of flight distance with very satisfying target impact. - Kyle A. (California, United States)

Salutations! The Rabbit Stick is so freaking cool! I have taken it out to practice with in cold and snowy weather, it bucks the wind pretty good! Sending it around 76 yards or so, hopefully break 80 when I get more practice in! Will be ordering something else soon! Very exciting and showing everyone I know!
Thanks for awesome product! - Thomas F. (New York, United States)
