The Wozzarang is a compact hunting boomerang developed from an original design by Warwick “Wozza” Naylor of Victoria, Australia and refined with us through 2025. Built for precise, short‑range targeting (effective to about 40 meters), its short wingspan makes it ideal for tight terrain and intuitive to throw — much like throwing a ball.
Wozza’s hunting style—stalking single rabbits and small game at 20–30 meters—inspired the Wozzarang. It was optimized to fly fast, accurate, and avoid sailing far afield when a throw misses. The result is a compact, elegant tool with a hand‑incised, turbulated airfoil that balances power, accuracy, and easy retrieval.
We carefully tuned the Wozzarang to fly straight and level out to roughly 35-40 meters, then descend rapidly beyond that range so it remains within a small search area.
That predictable flight profile makes it excellent for “point‑and‑shoot” throws and quick recovery in dense or confined environments. Unlike our long‑range models optimized for wide coverage in big open areas against multiple targets (like a shotgun), the Wozzarang is purpose‑built for hunters who seek pinpoint accuracy in limited space. If you want a packable, high‑precision throwing tool for close‑quarters hunting, the Wozzarang answers that need.
Note: In field tests we've been able to throw the Wozzarang out to about 60-70 meters if we throw it up above the horizon at top velocity. This is exceptional. For normal use - throwing at the horizon, it is staying within a footprint of usually less than 60 meters and losing altitude over the last 10-20 meters.
