Bare Bow and Hunting Boomerang Comparison

I have enjoyed shooting bare bow since I was 12 years old, and throwing hunting boomerangs for about 8 years now, so I have experience and love of both sports. As a weapon in battle the boomerang is inferior to the bow and arrows, but as a hunting tool things are different.
Bow Advantages

Deployed well from cover
Deployed in heavy brush
Accurate on stationary targets
Penetrates flesh, allowing for take down of large game

Bow Disadvantages

Relatively short lethal hunting range (about 32 yards / 30 meters)
Arrows require matched spine and weight, are fragile, and easy to lose
High accuracy needed to kill instead of maim
Bow and arrows are single‑purpose tools
Arrows can only take out one target at a time
Wounded game may escape and die later
Wet weather can make the bow non‑functional depending on string material

Boomerang Advantages

Effective at long ranges (65–109 yards / 60–100 meters)
Rapid deployment on targets not reachable with a bow
Good against running targets
Effective against groups of animals; capable of multiple captures per throw
Functions as a multi‑tool carried constantly in the field
Breaks bones, stopping game from escaping or killing more instantly than an arrow

Boomerang Disadvantages

Accuracy depends heavily on thrower finesse
Less reliable on single stationary targets compared to a bow
Difficult to deploy from cover
Gets caught in heavy brush, limiting terrain options
Close‑range deployment may startle game
Does not penetrate flesh; larger game must be taken by breaking the leg
